Titanic Belfast

Visitor Attraction building

Commissioned by Harcourt Developments, Mark led the design of this iconic visitor attraction.  He went on to support funding bids to the Big Lottery Fund, Northern Ireland Tourist Board and Northern Ireland Government.  He steered the project through the process of planning approval.

A monument to Belfast’s maritime heritage, the building houses exhibitions telling the stories of the RMS Titanic and her sister ships from the golden age of shipbuilding in Belfast. The 12,000 sq.m complex accommodates a series of galleries, private function centre, visiting exhibition gallery and deep ocean education theatre.

In 2016 the centre hosted more than 800,000 visitors and was awarded World’s Best Tourist Attraction.
